What is Scentsy Wax Made Of?

You ever wonder what Scentsy Wax is made of?

Scentsy WaxScentsy uses a custom, high-quality paraffin wax. Scentsy's wax is designed to give you a long-lasting fragrance due to its superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness.

Soy or vegetable based waxes can produce a quality wicked candle, but not a quality wickless candle. The type of wax Scentsy uses is a not an issue, with regard to chemicals being released while burning any traditional wicked candles, including tea lights.
Scentsy warmers only warm the scent out of the wax - the wax remains in the warmer. Scentsy Bars do not contain or release harmful phthalates and their fragrance oils do not contain any kind of nut or mineral oils. Scentsy bars are also BPA, gluten, lead, egg, and formaldehyde-free.

Scentsy Bars are safer than wicked candles because no flame is required for the wax to melt and release fragrance. Scentsy warmers only warm the scent out of the wax, so you will end up with a piece of non smelling wax once all the frageance is released. Just dispose your old wax and replace it with a new Scentsy cube from your Scentsy bar. Since Scentsy's wax is warmed and not burned as it is with traditional candles, there are no harmful chemicals or pollutants released into the air in your home. With Scentsy, there is no worry about flame, smoke, soot, or lead.

Scentsy’s food grade petroleum wax is the same wax they spray on apples in the grocery stores, to give them their shine. Scentsy fragrances are made from an oil which is the highest grade of oil before processing. Scentsy wax is tested and is consistently regarded as safe for use in fragrance by several government bodies including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the European Union Scientific Committee on Consumer Products (SCCP). Scentsy follows all safety standards regulating the use of DEP set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).
